1. Responsibility for Decisions

Final decisions regarding whether to keep or discard items remain solely with you. I cannot accept liability for the consequences of such decisions.

2. Valuable Items

You are responsible for identifying any items of potential high financial or sentimental value before or during sessions (where relevant). I do not provide any valuation advice.

3. Care of Client Belongings

I will treat all of your possessions with respect and care. However, due to the nature of decluttering and organising work, I cannot be held liable for accidental damage unless caused by proven negligence. It is your responsibility to ensure that your home and contents insurance provides adequate cover.

4. Confidentiality

All your information, conversations, and personal circumstances will be kept strictly confidential. I will never share details of your home or situation without your explicit consent.

5. What I Will and Won't Do

I provide hands-on organising and decluttering support, guidance, and systems tailored to your needs.

However, I do not:

• Carry out deep cleaning
• Undertake heavy lifting or move large furniture/items

If specialist cleaning or removal services are required, I can help coordinate these through trusted third parties.

6. Removal of Items

Responsibility for removing unwanted items (e.g., trips to the tip, charity shops, or recycling banks) lies with you.

I can offer to assist with this for an additional charge, which will be agreed in advance.

7. Before & After Photographs

With your permission, I may take photographs before and after sessions to track progress and maintain records. These images will only be used for marketing or promotional purposes with your explicit consent.

8. Disclaimer

While I strive to create organised, functional spaces, I cannot guarantee specific outcomes such as improved wellbeing, financial gain, or long-term maintenance of the organised space. Results depend on individual circumstances and ongoing client involvement.

9. Payment Terms

• Minimum session length: 3 hours.
• Payment is due upon completion of each session unless otherwise agreed.
• Payment is due by cash or BACS transfer.

10. Hours of Work

Working hours and session times will be agreed in advance. Any additional time requested during a session may be accommodated where possible and will be charged accordingly.

11. Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations may incur a fee.

12. Third-Party Services

Where external services are recommended (e.g., cleaners, removal companies), any agreements are made directly between you and the third party. I am not responsible for the quality or outcomes of their work.

13. Pets & Smoking

• Please ensure pets are safely secured where necessary to allow work to be carried out safely and efficiently.
• Smoking is kindly requested to be avoided in the working area during sessions.

14. Health & Safety

A safe working environment is essential. I reserve the right to pause or end a session if conditions are unsafe (e.g., hazardous materials, structural risks, or unsafe access).

15. Privacy & GDPR

Any personal data collected (such as contact details) will be used solely for the purpose of delivering services and managing bookings. Data will be stored securely and will not be shared with third parties without consent. I will provide you with my full Privacy Notice.

16. Agreement to Terms

By booking a session with The Sorted Space, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you have any questions at all, I'm always happy to chat!
